Ron Sutton
So Ron Sutton has contacted me lately and he has offered me an opportunity to come race a few races with him this year. The only problem is that it is way expensive. Like very very very expensive. So at the moment we're not going to be able to do it unless we can find a sponsor......

It was a no :(
So after many many days of suspense I got my e-mail tonight and it was a no. I wasn't selected. So as of now I'm not really sure which direction to take my racing career. Either way I'm going to need some serious help. Financially that is. I know the economy is bad. Beleive me I know. But if anybody knows any crazy rich friends. Tell them you know a crazy fast racecar driver!!!!!! :) OHHHHHH well guess the lord wants to make sure that I don't get distracted before my mission. Thats how she goes. No harm... No foul...
Here's the E-mail:
Hello Jeff, We have completed our evaluation process and decided on our drivers for 2009. The hardest part for me is telling a driver that we did not choose them for our program ... especially when they are clearly talented like your son. We had 751 young drivers apply ... after resume review, we narrowed it down to 195 written interviews ... then to 132 for phone interviews ... and only 44 to test at the Shoot Out. You have a lot to be proud of making it to the final round. I love working with young talented drivers through out the year. This is the toughest part of what we do ... narrowing it down to the few we're going to work with. Regardless of the fact we did not chose your son for our program ... I want to urge your son to strongly pursue his career aspirations as a race driver. He is smart, fast and talented. People like me make wrong choices all the time. I am often amused watching stories of musicians that went on to great careers after music executives didn't chose them. I think this may be a case just like that. In closing, I want to thank you for applying for our program, and I want to wish you well in your racing and race career aspirations. If I can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me. Best wishes.

Shoot-Out
So I went to Sacramento this last weekend for the shoot-out. Friday consisted of two shop tours and a class from 2 o' clock to about 9:30 p.m. Ya, it was crazy. They did a body fat test on me and something that checks how balanced my muscles were. It was basically just a TON of information. Saturday started with a car orientation and a track walk at 9:00 a.m. I was scheduled to be in the third round so I had to wait until like 4. It was nervewracking (probably spelled wrong) When I finally was able to get out on the track I was only able to get through two of my 20-lap sessions because the weather did not agree and it started to rain. So, I was told that I would have to come back the next day on Sunday to finish my sessions. The next day started the same way and it was actually an advantage that my sessions got interupted because during the track walk Ron Sutton specifically pointed out things that I needed to fix from the prvious day. Because it had rained again that morning Ron had two of his drivers go out on the track to test the cars and track. After everything was ready it was my turn. I went through my three sessions and after my crew chief found me to show me the data of my last run. It turns out that I went .03 seconds faster than one of his drivers had that same morning!!!!! The last words I heard from Ron Sutton as I drove off the track were, "Good Job JJ, very impressed." After Saturday I wasn't very confident because I felt like I wasn't fixing my different tendencies fast enough. After Sunday though, hearing those words and seeing my time, I can't help but feel pretty confident that I'll be selected. You never know though, someone else could have gone just as fast so we'l just have to wait and see. I get my "Report Card" by Nov. 23. Hopefully I make it!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas Morning!!!!
Yes, every year my sister would wake me up at like o dark thirty in the morning telling me to get up because there were presents. And every year she would get the same response, "Stacy, the presents will still be there after I finish sleeping, I'm tired!!!" So today since it is not christmas I did not know that I was going to face the same situation I had many previous times before. But my parents woke me up at o dark thirty in the morning to tell me I had got accepted to go to California and test for the driver developement program!!!!!! Grantedd this is humongous news and as excited as I was to hear that, the bed was still calling me to come back and sleep. Once again, the shoot-out is still two weeks away regardless whether I get I finish sleeping or not. So anyways I do owe my parents an apology because I was probably rude and cranky and did not show the excitement they wanted to see. But I mean c'mon I couldn't help but remember the days when my sister would wake me up before the sun to tell me about presents that were still gunna be there even after the sun woke up. My sleep is very important to me :) I'm sorry but that's just how it is.
Advice: Big sisters--Don't wake up your little brother from his peaceful slumber to tell him about presents unless those presents aren't gunna be there anymore after he gets done sleeping.
The Good: YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made it out of 737 applicants from all over the country!!!!!!!!!!
(Boo Ya another post ended in exclamation marks)!!
